Thanks for visiting our Website. Randolph Connects is a group born of the Randolph Creative Communities project. The group's members include Joe Boyd, Sonny Holt, Jeremy Lesniak, John Lutz and Sharon Rives as co-ordinator of the overall project. The Randolph Connects Committee is meeting by-weekly to study alternatives and to expedite the implementation of broadband service for our entire community.
The group's goal is to assure broadband internet availability to all residents in the towns of Randolph, Braintree and Brookfield. This website will offer information about the project and the status of our progress, as well as opportunities for the community to contribute information.
The current focus of the website is the following brief survey of residential internet access as it now exists. Please take a moment to answer these questions in order to assist the group with its planning efforts.
Residents of Randolph, Braintree and Brookfield are asked to complete the survey by clicking here.
September 5, 2007 Update
Randolph Connects is pleased to announce progress in their goal of bringing broadband internet access to all residents of Randolph, Braintree and Brookfield. Our group has recently joined a collaborative of other area towns with the same goal. Combining efforts with other towns will expedite this process and offer options otherwise unavailable.
This 14-town initiative in East-Central Vermont will have the advantage of working with Burlington Telecomm. This modern, already operating fiber-cable network in Burlington, Vermont is assisting the new collaborative with financial and logistical planning.
The selectboard of each participating town is being updated as planning continues and informational sessions will be held in each town before Town Meeting Day.
